Did trump cancel cancer research funding?

I volunteer for a cancer awareness group, and funding for research is always a big topic. I heard some rumours that the previous US administration, under Trump, had cancelled cancer research funding. Is there any truth to this? It would be a huge setback if true.

I got so scared when I first saw a post about this on Facebook, thinking all medical progress would stop. But when I actually read the details, I found out the US Congress actually increased the national cancer research budget instead of cutting it. It is safe to say the research is still going on strongly.

Whether international funding changes or not, we must plan for our own medical security here. Cancer treatments and even basic diagnostic scans like PET CTs are extremely expensive in India. Having a solid family health insurance policy with a critical illness rider is the most practical step we can take.

These global news things keep happening, but we should focus on keeping our family's health strong at home. While modern medical science is essential, eating a clean diet with haldi and green vegetables helps build our basic immunity. For any major health concerns, we must always visit a proper hospital.

I have been following global healthcare news for years, and budget proposals are often very different from what actually gets passed into law. Rest assured, funding for cancer research remains a top priority globally, including in the US. Keep supporting your loved ones and don't let these headlines stress you out.

Relax, no one canceled cancer research, otherwise my doctor uncle would be out of a job and sitting at home watching daytime TV! These political budget battles happen every year but science always wins in the end. Keep calm and don't believe everything on the internet.

I don't think global funding is stopping, so we shouldn't worry about that. Managing our own health step-by-step is what matters. Just like I have to get my thyroid levels tested every six months and consult my endocrinologist, staying on top of regular health screenings is the best way to prevent big issues.

Let's be clear: he proposed some budget cuts to the NIH, but the US Congress rejected them and actually increased cancer research funds. It's all part of political posturing, so there's no need to panic. The actual scientific research hasn't been halted at all.
