Did hafthor have a stroke?

I follow strongman competitions and heard some rumours about Hafthor 'The Mountain' Bjornsson possibly having a stroke. It got me thinking about how even very fit people can suffer from this. What are some common early warning signs of a stroke that we should all be aware of, especially as we get older?

Haan na, even I got scared when I saw the news. But actually, it was Bell's Palsy, which paralyzed half of his face, not a stroke. Thank god it wasn't a stroke, that is way more serious.

Nahi bhai, use stroke nahi hua tha. Use Bell's Palsy ki dikkat hui thi jisse face thoda freeze ho jata hai. Ab toh woh bilkul thik hai na.

No, he didn't! He suffered from Bell's Palsy back in 2017, which is a temporary facial paralysis. He recovered well and is still lifting crazy weights! 💪

No, he didn't have a stroke, it was just facial palsy. Honestly, at my age, even lifting a bucket of water feels like a health hazard, while this guy is lifting hundreds of kilos even after facial paralysis!

I completely understand why you got worried; seeing a giant like him with facial paralysis can make anyone anxious about health. But it was just Bell's Palsy, not a stroke. He made a full recovery, which is very reassuring.

Don't believe everything you read on Instagram. Hafthor Bjornsson had Bell's Palsy, not a stroke. If you ever have facial numbness, don't try any home remedies; go to a doctor to verify if it's palsy or a real stroke.

I can confirm it was Bell's Palsy. I actually recovered from Bell's Palsy myself just three months ago. People often mistake it for a stroke because the face droops, but with steroids and facial exercises, it gets totally fine.
