De novo breast cancer?

My aunt was recently diagnosed with breast cancer that had already spread at the time of diagnosis, which I heard is sometimes called 'de novo'. What exactly is 'de novo breast cancer'? I'm trying to understand more about it.

This is a very heavy diagnosis to receive. Please know that you are not alone, and modern treatments are very supportive now. Wishing you lots of strength and peace on this journey.

This means the cancer is already advanced or metastatic at the very first diagnosis. If the treating doctor permits, maintaining light physical activity like short gentle walks can help manage fatigue and build strength during the hard therapy sessions.

Actually yaar, de novo metastatic breast cancer sounds very scary because it is stage 4 from the start. But don't lose hope, medical science has advanced so much that people manage it as a chronic illness for many years. Stay strong!

Reading about cancer at 2 AM is definitely not helping me sleep, but de novo basically means it was caught late right at the first checkup. It is a tough battle, so make sure to get a solid second opinion from a top oncologist instead of reading random stuff online.

De novo breast cancer treatment can be very expensive because of targeted therapies and chemo. It is highly recommended to check if you can get medicines through government schemes like PM-JAY or state-level cancer care funds to manage the heavy costs.
