Could pain in hip be cancer?
This persistent ache in my hip has been bothering me for a while, and it's starting to really worry me. My aunt recently had a cancer scare. Could a pain in the hip actually be a symptom of cancer?

Oh god, please don't jump to the absolute worst conclusion! At my age, even sitting on a hard chair for an hour makes my hip ache for two days. It is usually just arthritis, muscle strain, or lack of exercise.
While hip pain can theoretically be a symptom of many things, cancer is actually very rare. Most commonly, it is due to wear and tear, bursitis, or a minor muscle tear. Please visit an orthopedic specialist to get an X-ray and find the real cause.
Most hip pain is just tight hip flexors from sitting too much or a slight joint misalignment. If your doctor rules out anything major, doing gentle stretches and light daily walking can really help loosen up the joint.
My back and hips hurt constantly because I sleep like an awkward pretzel. Honestly, searching symptoms online always leads to cancer. Stop googling at 2 AM and just book a normal doctor's appointment tomorrow.
I completely understand the panic and how Google can make you fear the absolute worst. I also had severe hip pain and convinced myself it was something fatal. It turned out to be a simple vitamin D deficiency, so please take a breath and see a doctor.

Hey, don't stress too much! It's highly unlikely to be anything scary like that. It is probably just a sleeping posture issue or a small sprain. Just get it checked by a doc so you can sleep peacefully.
I had intense hip pain last year and feared the worst too. It turned out to be avascular necrosis in the early stage, which we managed with proper physiotherapy. Get an MRI done if your doctor advises; don't rely on internet guesswork.
