Can zyns give you gum disease?

My dentist mentioned some early signs of gum inflammation during my last visit. I'm a regular user of Zyn. Could these nicotine pouches give me gum disease?

My doctor always tells me that any chronic inflammation in the mouth can impact overall health, especially if you have thyroid issues. Keeping nicotine pouches pressed against your gums all day can definitely cause irritation and tissue damage. It is best to visit a dentist for a proper checkup.

I actually asked my dentist about this because my husband started using these pouches. She explained that nicotine restricts blood flow to the gums, which can mask the early signs of bleeding and lead to gum recession or disease over time. It is definitely not harmless for your oral health.

Hey, I have seen a few of my college friends get really sore spots on their gums after using these pouches for a few weeks. The skin there is so delicate, and placing chemicals there daily is bound to irritate it. Maybe try reducing it and make sure you rinse your mouth thoroughly.

I can only share what happened to me, but after using those nicotine pouches for about three months, I noticed my gums were looking a bit red and felt very sensitive when I brushed. I stopped using them and the irritation slowly went away. Just be careful with your teeth.

Yaar, actually it depends on how much you use, but my dentist friend told me that keeping it in the same spot daily is bad news. Your gums can get really dry and start receding, which is super painful. Just quit it or at least don't keep it in the same spot every time, yaar.
