Can your liver make your back hurt?

I've had this persistent backache, mostly on my right side, for a while now. I've tried massages and remedies for back pain, but it doesn't seem to go away. Could this pain actually be related to my liver, or is that unlikely?

Haan bilkul, refer pain bolte hain isko. My uncle had liver swelling and he kept treating it like regular back pain for weeks. Drastic mistake thi woh, so back pain ko ignore mat karo aur checkup kara lo na.

Yes, liver inflammation can cause referred pain that is felt in the right shoulder or upper-right back. This happens because the swelling irritates nerves that travel up to the spine. It is highly recommended to consult a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis.

I didn't know liver issues could affect the back. Does this kind of pain feel different from a regular muscle catch, like is it more constant or deep?

Hey, don't stress too much about it! While liver issues can sometimes cause right-sided back pain, it is often just a simple muscle pull too. Just get a quick checkup done by a doctor to be absolutely sure.

Referred pain from the liver to the upper right back is quite common during inflammation. If your doctor rules out any serious liver issues, staying active with gentle yoga stretches and daily walking can help keep your posture and overall circulation good.

With the amount of time I spend hunching over my laptop, my back is always screaming, but yes, a swollen liver can actually radiate pain to your right shoulder blade. If it's a deep ache that doesn't change when you stretch, go see a doc.
