Can young people get heart attacks?

I've been hearing a lot lately about young people, sometimes even athletes, having heart attacks. My father always said it's something older people get. Is it really possible for someone in their twenties or thirties to suffer a heart attack?

Siddhi baat batata hoon, yes they can, and it is happening a lot these days due to bad sleep and extreme stress. If you ever feel severe chest tightness or pain radiating to your left arm or jaw, don't sit around waiting. Go to an emergency room immediately, do not take it lightly.

Yes, cardiac issues are rising fast in young adults now. Please keep an emergency hospital contact number saved on your speed dial just to be safe.

Listen, don't panic or stress yourself out thinking about this constantly. While it is true that young people can get them, you can protect yourself by getting routine checkups and managing your stress. Just keep an eye on any unusual breathlessness or chest pressure and see a doctor if anything feels off.

It is true, but what worries me most is the cost of emergency treatments in private hospitals. I highly suggest getting a basic health insurance policy early on and getting a yearly ECG and lipid profile done at a local government lab, which is very cheap and saves a lot of trouble later.

My nephew had a mild heart episode at just 29, and we initially thought it was just bad acidity. The complications from delaying his hospital trip were very scary. Please, if you feel sudden cold sweats, dizziness, or chest discomfort, go straight to the hospital.

Yes, young people can absolutely get them. My family cardiologist explained that silent blockages can build up due to genetic factors and high stress, even in physically fit people. He advised getting an annual screening if you have a family history of early heart disease.

Stress is the biggest enemy of our heart nowadays, even for the youth. Daily deep breathing exercises like Anulom Vilom can keep your nervous system calm and blood pressure balanced. But do not ignore actual physical symptoms like chest pain; medical care is always primary.
