Can you work with a migraine?

Sometimes I get these terrible migraines, and they make it so hard to focus. I have a demanding job and can't always take a day off. What do people usually do to manage working when a migraine hits?

If it is a mild headache, you can apply some warm ginger paste on your forehead or drink warm peppermint tea to help you get through work. But if it is a severe migraine with vomiting or vision changes, please do not force yourself to work. Go see a doctor and take proper rest.

Honestly, working with a migraine is extremely difficult because screen glare makes it ten times worse. I use a screen dimmer app and blue-light blocking glasses on days when I have to work through mild headaches. But tracking my triggers on a migraine app has taught me that taking a short break early on is much more efficient than pushing through.

With my toddler keeping me up all night, working with a migraine feels like trying to solve math equations inside a washing machine! Honestly, you can't be productive when your brain is screaming. Just take a sick leave, turn off your Slack notifications, and sleep in a dark room.

Hey, don't stress too much about your pending tasks today. Work will always be there, but your health is way more important. Just drop a message to your team, put your phone on silent, and get some sleep. You deserve a break!

Listen to me, don't force yourself to look at a laptop screen if your head is pounding. Tell your manager that you are unwell and go lie down in a quiet room immediately. I'll always advise you to prioritize your health over any urgent deadline.

Haan yaar, laptop screen ki brightness bilkul bardasht nahi hoti migraine mein, na? If you really have to work, keep the screen dim and drink lots of water. But honestly, if the pain is too much, just apply some balm and take a good nap.

Our bodies sometimes give us pain as a signal to slow down and rest. Trying to force yourself to work during a severe migraine will only drain your inner energy. Keep a calm mind, take a gentle break, and take care of your health first.

Trying to work through a proper migraine is honestly pointless because your output quality drops to zero anyway. It is much better to take a complete 4-hour break in a dark, quiet room and come back stronger. Don't try to be a hero; take your sick leave and rest.
