Can you wake up with a fever?

My daughter felt completely fine last night, but this morning she woke up with a high temperature. My mother-in-law said fever always starts slowly. Can someone actually wake up suddenly with a full-blown fever?

I totally get it, waking up shivering and burning with fever is the absolute worst feeling. It usually means your body was fighting off an infection overnight while you were asleep. Just rest as much as you can and keep sipping warm water.

It is so draining and frustrating to wake up sick when you have a busy day planned. I used to feel so helpless and anxious every time my temperature spiked in the morning. Please don't be hard on yourself, just cancel your plans and let your body heal.

Yes, beta, this is very common when the weather changes. If you wake up with a mild fever, drink some warm tulsi and ginger kadha, and put a wet cloth on your forehead to bring the temperature down. But if the fever is very high, don't rely only on home remedies and consult a doctor.

When I woke up with a sudden high fever last month, I immediately consulted my doctor at Apollo Hospital. He guided me on the exact dosage and tests needed instead of letting me guess. It's always best to ask a qualified physician directly.

Waking up with a fever is quite common, especially during flu season. Keep a digital thermometer handy at home to track the temperature and take a basic paracetamol if it's high. Make sure to stay hydrated with simple coconut water or electoral.

Oh gosh, waking up with a fever always makes me panic and think of the worst-case scenarios. Please check your temperature immediately and make sure you don't have any chest pain or breathing issues. Rest well, I really hope it's just a simple viral thing!

Since I have thyroid issues, my immunity is sometimes low and I tend to catch morning fevers easily. If you face this frequently, it is a good idea to get your thyroid and complete blood count tested. Regular follow-ups with your doctor will keep your health on track.

I was reading some health articles and apparently, our body temperature naturally peaks in the early morning and late afternoon. So if you have an underlying viral infection, it's very common to feel the fever most prominently when you first wake up.

Oh no, waking up with a fever is such a mood spoiler! 🤒 Make sure to take a warm shower if you can, wrap yourself up in a cozy blanket, and watch your favorite show. Hope you feel better and get your energy back soon! ✨

Any sudden fever in the morning should not be taken lightly, as it could be dengue, malaria, or a severe throat infection. Please monitor it closely and if it doesn't settle in 24 hours, go to a clinic. Getting a basic blood test is always the safest route.
