Can you vaccinate against tb?

My college roommate recently got diagnosed with TB, and it made me worry about myself. I was taught about vaccinations in school. I wanted to know if there's a vaccine available that can protect us against tuberculosis.

Yeah actually, we have the BCG vaccine for TB, yaar. Most of us in India get it right at birth, you can check your left arm for that small circular scar. But honestly, it mostly protects kids, so consult a doc if you are looking for adult protection.

My brain is so fried from staying up with my toddler, but yes, the BCG vaccine is definitely a thing. We just got our baby vaccinated for TB last month. Check your old childhood medical files if you can find them, or just ask a clinic.

Don't just believe random comments about vaccine efficacy online. Yes, BCG exists, but its effectiveness in adults is a highly debated topic in medicine. Go to a proper government health center or talk to a pulmonologist to get the correct facts.

Yes, the BCG vaccine is widely used in India to protect children from tuberculosis. Along with vaccination, practicing daily Kapalbhati and pranayama helps keep your lungs strong and improves overall immunity naturally. Always good to support medical science with healthy habits.

I recently completed my 6-month TB treatment course, and it was quite a journey. The BCG vaccine we get in childhood protects against severe forms of TB in kids, but it doesn't guarantee lifetime immunity for adults. If you have a persistent cough, please get a sputum test done immediately.
