Can you use meat thermometer for fever?

Arey, meat thermometer toh bahut alag hota hai na! Human body ke liye accurate nahi hota bilkul. Fever check karne ke liye standard digital doctor wala hi use karna chahiye, ho na.

I was also wondering if the calibration is completely different for food and human skin? It seems safer to stick to a proper medical one, but is there any emergency way to use it if nothing else is available?

Bro, that sounds like a proper hostel hack but please don't try it! Those metal prongs are literally sharp and won't show 101 or 102 fever correctly anyway. Just get a normal medical one from a flatmate.

Haha, please don't do that! Meat thermometers are meant for chicken, not for humans. Don't stress too much, just send someone to the local chemist or order a normal medical thermometer online, it'll reach you in 10 minutes.

This is not a practical solution. Meat thermometers start at much higher temperatures and have sharp metal probes which can be very dangerous to put in your mouth. A standard digital medical thermometer costs only 100-150 rupees, just buy that.
