Can you throw up kidney stones?
My husband has been suffering from kidney stones for a long time, and he's had surgery before. He recently had a terrible bout of vomiting. Is there any chance a person can actually throw up kidney stones?

I totally get it, kidney stone pain can be so excruciating that it completely throws your body out of balance. No, you cannot physically throw up a kidney stone because they are in the urinary tract, not the stomach. But the intense pain can definitely make you vomit, so please see a doctor.
The physical body has different pathways, and stones from the kidneys can only pass through the urine, never the mouth. The vomiting you feel is just the body's response to deep pain. Praying for your quick recovery, please visit a doctor for proper treatment.
You definitely cannot throw up a stone since the digestive and urinary systems are totally separate. However, the extreme back or side pain can trigger severe nausea and puking. Make sure you stay hydrated and get a scan done by a medical professional immediately.
Hey, don't worry, the stone itself cannot come out through your vomit. The nausea is just your body's reflex to the severe kidney pain. Please take some rest and let a doctor examine you to give you proper pain relief and a treatment plan.
Man, kidney stone pain is so bad it has kept me awake for three nights straight, but thankfully you can't throw them up. Imagine how much worse that would be! Seriously though, if you are puking from the pain, go to the ER, don't suffer at home.
