Can you take pain meds with antibiotics?

My dentist gave me antibiotics for a tooth infection. I'm also having quite a bit of pain, so was thinking of taking a painkiller. Just wanted to check if it's safe to take both together.

My father always says we should not load the body with too many tablets at once, but sometimes both are necessary. When I had a bad tooth extraction, my doctor prescribed specific pain meds that were safe to take alongside the antibiotics. Always verify the names with your physician first.

Ho na, it depends on which painkiller and antibiotic you are taking actually. Some combinations can really upset your stomach badly. Please check with your family doc once before mixing them, do not take self-decisions.

When I was admitted at Max Healthcare last year, the doctors were very strict about drug interactions. You should not just pop a random Crocin or combiflam with your heavy antibiotic dose. Just call your clinic and ask your doctor clearly about safe combinations.

Beta, allopathy medicines are very strong, and taking too many together can cause intense heat in the stomach. Try to drink warm water with a little honey and ginger for mild aches if you can. If the pain is too much, please ask your doctor which tablet is safe with your current course.

Haan, this can be tricky because some painkillers actually reduce the effect of certain antibiotics or make you feel super dizzy. I always double-check with my pharmacist friend before taking anything extra. Safe side pe rehna hamesha better hota hai na.
