Can you take pain meds while pregnant?

Pregnant with my first baby and trying to be very careful with everything. Sometimes I get headaches or my back hurts after a long day. I wanted to know if there are any pain meds that are considered safe to take during pregnancy, ya should I just bear the pain?

I completely agree that most NSAIDs should be avoided; please consult your gynecologist for a safe alternative.

Instead of buying expensive brand-name pain relievers that might not even be safe, get a simple prescription from your regular maternity clinic. It's much cheaper and completely safe for your baby.

According to obstetric guidelines, paracetamol is generally the first-line choice for mild pain during pregnancy, while drugs like ibuprofen or naproxen are typically avoided, especially in the third trimester. My doctor emphasized always checking the active ingredients first.

My daughter-in-law had bad backaches during her pregnancy. Her gynecologist suggested light pelvic tilts and allowed plain paracetamol only when absolutely necessary. Always let your doctor guide you.

Please take care of yourself during this special time. It is always safest to consult your doctor before taking any pain medication.
