Can you take ibuprofen with kidney disease?

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with mild kidney disease. I used to take Ibuprofen for my joint pain before, but my neighbour told me it's not good for kidneys. So, I wanted to ask if it's safe for me to take it now?

Oh my god, please do not take ibuprofen if you have kidney disease! I read that NSAIDs can seriously reduce blood flow to the kidneys and cause sudden failure. It is terrifying, please ask your doctor for a safe alternative like paracetamol.

Actually, you should avoid it completely, yaar. Ibuprofen can really mess up kidney function if they are already weak. Better to talk to your doc and find something safer.

With kidney disease, ibuprofen is generally not safe to take. Please contact your doctor to find a painkiller that is safe for your kidneys.

Ibuprofen is definitely not recommended for kidney patients as it filters through them and causes strain. If your doctor allows, light regular walks can help manage general body pain naturally instead of relying on heavy pills.

Getting older means half the painkillers in my cabinet are now off-limits! Ibuprofen and kidney disease do not get along at all. Skip it unless you want your nephrologist to give you a long lecture.

Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is contraindicated in patients with kidney disease as it can worsen renal function. Please consult your nephrologist for appropriate pain management alternatives.

As someone managing high blood pressure, I know how sensitive the kidneys are to medications. Ibuprofen can raise blood pressure and damage kidneys, so it's a big no. Keep up with your regular kidney function tests and consult your doctor.
