Can you take glp 1 with thyroid issues?

I'm considering a new weight loss medication, a GLP-1, as I've been struggling with my weight. I also have an underactive thyroid. Can you take GLP-1 with thyroid issues, or will it cause complications?

I completely understand the anxiety when you have to start a new medication while already dealing with thyroid issues. It is scary to think about side effects. Usually, GLP-1 is fine with hypothyroidism, but there is a warning regarding medullary thyroid cancer, so a doctor must evaluate you first.

Honestly, I'm too tired managing my own thyroid weight gain to keep track of every drug warning. But from what my doctor told me, GLP-1 is fine for underactive thyroid, just keep away if there is any history of thyroid cancer in your family.

Well, unless your thyroid is planning a rebellion, GLP-1 is usually okay for standard hypothyroidism! Just make sure your doctor is in the loop so your thyroid and gut don't start fighting each other.

Haan, bilkul le sakte hain if it is normal hypothyroidism, but check with your doctor first na. Actually, if you have a family history of thyroid tumors, then they avoid GLP-1. Dr. Sahib se clear advice lena hi sahi rahega.

Beta, I have been managing my thyroid for thirty years now. When these new GLP-1 medications came out, I also had doubts. My endocrinologist adjusted my doses and monitored me closely, and it went very well, so don't worry too much.
