Can you take aspirin for a fever?

My little daughter has a fever, and I'm trying to decide what's best to give her. I have aspirin at home from my own headache medicine. Can you take aspirin for a fever, especially for children?

Whenever I get a fever, I have to be very careful because sickness itself spikes my blood sugar levels. Personally, I avoid aspirin and stick to basic paracetamol after checking with my general physician. You should definitely check what is safe for your body type.

While aspirin is a common over-the-counter drug, it's not always the first choice for a simple fever nowadays, especially for kids and teenagers due to safety risks. A quick call to your family doctor is always the smartest way to handle a rising temperature.

Is anyone else scared of taking aspirin because of stomach issues? I heard it can cause acidity or stomach lining irritation during a fever. Honestly, I always hesitate to use it and want to know if others had bad experiences.

Please be very careful if you are thinking of giving this to children, as aspirin should never be given to kids with fever. When my son got a high fever, our pediatrician strictly told us to stick to basic crocin or paracetamol syrup. Keep monitoring the temperature and do cold compresses on the forehead.

Bhai, fever can happen due to many reasons, so don't just swallow aspirin on your own. Drink plenty of warm water, eat simple khichdi, and rest nicely. If the fever doesn't go down by tomorrow, please go to the local clinic and show a proper doctor.
