Can you take aleve for fever?

My husband has a high fever today, and we're looking for something to bring it down quickly. I have Aleve tablets from a past headache. Can you take Aleve for fever, or is it mainly for pain?

Yes, Aleve works well to bring down fever, dear. Don't stress too much, just take one after a light meal, get under a warm blanket, and sleep it off. Call me if you need anything!

Yeah, you can take Aleve for fever, it helps with body ache too. Just don't pop them like candy before exams. Take it after having some food so your stomach doesn't act up.

Instead of asking people on the internet, you should call a local pharmacist or doctor. Fever can be due to many things, and self-medicating with Aleve might just mask the symptoms.

I completely understand how stressful it is when a fever hits and you aren't sure which medicine is safe. Aleve is generally fine for fever, but if you feel anxious, just call your family doctor to double-check.

I totally get it, fever makes you feel so weak and miserable. Aleve can help bring it down, but please take a lot of rest and stay hydrated with coconut water.

Aleve contains naproxen, which is a good anti-inflammatory and fever reducer. Just keep in mind it lasts longer than paracetamol, so don't take another dose too quickly. Stick to the package instructions.

Yes, it helps, but don't rely only on strong English medicines, beta. Drink warm ginger water and put a damp cloth on your forehead to help the fever go down naturally.

Be very careful. I once took NSAIDs for a fever which turned out to be dengue, and it caused issues. Please get a proper doctor's consult if the fever is high or persistent.
