Can you survive with half a liver?

I was watching a medical show and they talked about liver transplants. It got me thinking about the liver's ability to regenerate. Is it actually possible for a person to survive and function normally with only half a liver?

Yes, you can absolutely survive. The liver is the only organ in our body that can fully regenerate back to its normal size within a few months.

In our village, they suggest taking certain herbal juices for liver health, but when half the liver is removed, you must only follow the surgeon's prescription. The liver is amazing and will grow back on its own, so just eat a light, home-cooked diet and avoid any self-medication.

I donated 60% of my liver to my father four years ago. My liver grew back to almost its original size within three months. Just avoid alcohol completely, eat a low-fat diet during recovery, and give your body plenty of rest.

If you are planning a liver transplant or partial resection, the cost of post-operative follow-up tests can add up quickly. Try to get your regular liver function tests done at government labs or packages from reputed diagnostic chains to save money. Proper planning makes the recovery stress-free.

Yaar, actually the human liver is like a superpower organ. It regenerates so fast that you won't even realize you are living with a partial liver after some time. Just don't put extra load on it with oily foods and alcohol.
