Can you suddenly become diabetic?

My cousin always had a healthy lifestyle, but suddenly he was diagnosed with diabetes last month. It came as a shock to everyone. Can someone just suddenly become diabetic without any prior warnings or symptoms?

Beta, diabetes doesn't usually appear out of nowhere in one day, it slowly builds up due to our modern sitting lifestyle and stress. I got diagnosed twenty years ago, and with regular evening walks and cutting down sweet chai, I am still healthy and active. Just get your routine blood test done and don't panic.

Oh god, this is my biggest fear because I read that sudden extreme thirst or going to the washroom constantly can mean your blood sugar spiked. If you are feeling suddenly very tired or dizzy, please get a fasting HbA1c test done immediately just to be safe. It is better to know than to sit and worry like me.

Sometimes a sudden shock, high stress, or a major infection can cause blood sugar levels to shoot up. While drinking a little methi water in the morning is good for digestion, you must show a proper doctor. Proper laboratory tests are the only way to find out the real picture.

Our bodies are beautiful systems that give us gentle signals when they are out of balance. Don't look at a potential diagnosis with fear, but rather as an invitation to treat your mind and body with more love and peace. Take a deep breath, consult a good doctor, and start eating mindfully.

Haha, unless you woke up today and drank ten sweet lassis together, it won't just happen overnight! It is usually a slow process of our bodies protesting against too much laptop screen time and zero movement. Go get a simple prick test at a lab and then you can relax.
