Can you still have a heart attack even with pacemaker?

My husband had a pacemaker inserted a few years ago due to heart issues. He's been doing well since, but I often worry about his heart health. Can you still have a heart attack even with a pacemaker, or does it fully prevent such episodes?

Yes, a pacemaker only controls your heart rhythm, it does not prevent blocked arteries. Practicing gentle pranayama and keeping stress levels low under a doctor's guidance is very helpful for arterial health.

I am always cautious about heart health. A pacemaker only manages the electrical rhythm of the heart, not the blood flow, so blocked arteries can still cause an attack. Please consult your cardiologist regularly.

Yes, my grandfather had a pacemaker but we still had to be careful about his cholesterol and blockages. A pacemaker won't stop a heart attack, so regular doctor checkups are still very necessary.

Yes, the machine only sets the beat, it cannot stop blockages. You must take your blood thinners regularly as the doctor said, keep salt low, and avoid any heavy strain.

Yes, you can still get a heart attack because a pacemaker doesn't clean the blockages in the blood vessels. Eating light, home-cooked food with less oil is good, but always go to the doctor if you feel any chest heaviness.
