Can you sleep with whitening strips on?

I bought some at-home whitening strips to brighten my smile. The instructions say to wear them for a specific time, but I was wondering if it would be more effective to just put them on before bed and sleep with them. Is that safe to do?

Honestly, do not do it. Most strips are meant for 30 minutes max, and leaving them on overnight will absolutely wreck your enamel and cause insane tooth sensitivity. Just follow the package instructions and take them off before sleeping.

Beta, please don't do this with your teeth. I tried keeping some chemical gels on for too long years ago thinking it would work faster, but it only ended up giving me terrible gum pain. Good things take time, so don't rush these cosmetic things.

No way yaar, actually that's a very bad idea. If you sleep with them, you might swallow the gel by mistake and your gums will burn like crazy by morning. Better to just put them on while watching a show and remove them before hitting the bed.

I was actually thinking of doing this last week but got too scared. Has anyone else tried it and ended up with extremely sensitive teeth? I feel like even a cold glass of water would hurt so much after that.

Please take care of your body and don't rush the process. Keeping chemical strips on while sleeping can cause a lot of irritation and harm to your natural dental health. Let your body rest peacefully at night without any harsh products.
