Can you sleep with false lashes on?

Sometimes after a late night out, I'm just too tired to take off my false eyelashes. I was wondering, is it really bad for your eyes or lash health to sleep with false lashes on, or is it okay occasionally?

Please don't do this, I slept with strip lashes last week after a party and woke up with a painful swollen eyelid. The glue mixed with dirt and clogged my lash line. Take them off, it takes only two minutes and saves you from eye infections.

I once slept with false lashes on because I was too tired to remove them. The next morning, my natural lashes got pulled out when I tried to peel the dried glue off. Now I always remove them before sleeping, no matter how tired I am.

Oh god, don't stress if you fell asleep with them once by mistake! Just gently remove them now using some warm water or coconut oil on a cotton pad. Your eyes will be totally fine, just make sure to let them breathe today.

I panicked so much the first time I woke up with my fake lashes still stuck to my eyes, thinking I damaged my cornea. But honestly, it's fine, just use a good makeup remover and don't pull them hard. It happens to all of us sometimes!

If you are talking about professional salon lash extensions, yes, you can sleep with them but use a silk pillowcase. If you mean temporary strip lashes from the market, absolutely not. The heavy adhesive is not meant to stay on your eyes overnight.

Dekho, keeping these artificial things on while sleeping is just calling for trouble. It can cause eye infections and damage your real eyelashes. Just peel them off gently before going to bed, it is much safer.
