Can you sleep with a concussion?

My friend recently got a mild concussion, and some people are saying she shouldn't sleep for a few hours. Is it really dangerous to sleep after getting a concussion, or is it okay if it's a minor one?

Yes, sleep is very important for healing after a head injury. Just make sure a doctor has evaluated the injury first to rule out any serious complications.

Actually, the old advice of staying awake is outdated; sleep is crucial for brain recovery. However, if there are red flags like unequal pupil sizes, vomiting, or severe dizziness, you need to go to the hospital immediately. Otherwise, track your rest and let the brain heal.

Haan, bilkul so sakte hain, sleep actually helps the brain recover faster. Par pehle ek baar doctor ko dikha lena chahiye na, just to make sure koi internal bleeding toh nahi hai. Safe rehna sabse zaroori hai.

Yes, you can and should sleep, as the brain needs rest to recover from a concussion. But don't skip the medical checkup. If you have a severe headache, vomiting, or confusion, head straight to the ER.

Hey, don't stress too much about the old myths, you can definitely sleep! Just make sure someone checks on you occasionally, and if you feel extremely dizzy or sick, please get it checked by a doc immediately.
