Can you sleep on mushrooms?

Some people I met on my trip were talking about "magic mushrooms" and how they affect you. I was curious if, after taking them, you can still fall asleep normally. Or do they keep you awake for hours, like some other substances?

If you mean eating wild mushrooms and feeling very drowsy or sick, please be extremely careful. Some mushrooms are highly toxic. If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or have stomach cramps, please go to a hospital immediately.

If you are referring to dietary medicinal mushrooms like Reishi, they are actually known to help improve sleep quality and reduce stress. I take them in the evening and they work well. Just make sure to buy from certified brands.

If you're talking about psychedelic mushrooms, sleeping is nearly impossible while the chemical compound is active in your system. It keeps your brain highly stimulated. Just wait for the effect to wear off naturally.

Hey, if you or someone you know has consumed something and is feeling anxious or unable to sleep, please stay calm. Drink plenty of water and rest in a quiet room. If there are bad physical symptoms, contact a doctor right away.

Don't stress too much! If you had a heavy mushroom curry for dinner and feel bloated, just walk around for 10 minutes and sleep on your left side. It will help your digestion settle down easily.

I get so anxious when I eat mushrooms for dinner because I feel like they bloat my stomach and ruin my sleep. Does anyone else experience this heavy feeling or is it just my anxiety acting up?

My mother always advises against eating heavy foods like mushrooms late at night as they can be hard to digest. However, if you are experiencing severe digestive discomfort or sleep issues, it is best to consult a family doctor.
