Can you sleep in your car at walmart?

I'm on a tight budget for my upcoming trip, and accommodation is a big expense. I've seen videos of people sleeping in their cars in Walmart parking lots in other countries. Is it considered safe or acceptable to do something similar in India, like in a large supermarket's parking lot, to save on hotel costs?

I was actually reading about this online! Apparently, it used to be a super common thing for road trippers, but now many stores have banned it. It really depends on the individual location's rules.

I guess the best part about parking at a giant store is that you can quickly grab some great road snacks and drinks when you wake up! Just verify the parking rules with security so you don't get woken up mid-dream.

In our times, we never slept in cars, but times are changing. If you must do it, make sure you keep your warm clothes handy so you don't catch a cold. Drink some warm water from your flask before sleeping.

If you are traveling abroad and find yourself with no other option, always check with the store manager first. Be safe, lock your doors, and make sure you aren't parking in an isolated spot.

I slept in a Walmart parking lot during my US road trip last summer. Most stores are totally cool with it for a single night, just don't set up camp outside your car. It's safe and free.

To keep your mind calm during long journeys, it is good to have a safe resting place. If you must sleep in your car, do some gentle stretching beforehand to keep your body flexible and relaxed.

If you are sleeping in your car, make sure you don't skip your meal or insulin schedule due to the awkward setup. Keep some healthy low-sugar snacks like nuts handy in your glove compartment just in case.

Don't stress too much about finding a fancy motel if you just need a quick power nap. A lot of people do it, just park under a bright light, lock the car, and get some rest. Stay safe!
