Can you sleep in false eyelashes?

I usually remove my false eyelashes before bed, but sometimes I'm just too exhausted or forget. I'm curious if it's harmful to sleep with them on, even just once in a while. Does it affect eye health or the lifespan of the lashes?

I know it is tempting to just crash after a long night, but please don't sleep in false lashes. The glue can trap dirt and bacteria, leading to painful eye infections. Just peel them off and apply a little moisturizer before sleeping.

I slept in my heavy falsies once after a wedding because I was exhausted. I woke up with my eyelids feeling super swollen and glued together. Since then, I always make it a point to take them off, no matter how tired I am.

Good quality false lashes are reusable, but if you sleep in them, they will get bent and ruined, forcing you to buy new ones. Plus, treating an eye infection from the dirty glue will cost you even more in doctor fees. It is much more practical to just remove and save them.

Our eyes are the most sensitive organs and need pure rest and breathing space overnight. Keeping artificial plastic and glue on them blocks the natural healing process during sleep. Keep your face completely natural and clean for a peaceful night's rest.

Haha, unless you want to wake up with one lash stuck to your forehead and the other on your pillow, please take them off! It is not comfortable at all and you will end up looking like a character from a comedy movie!
