Can you sleep in fake lashes?

I've been experimenting with fake lashes for special occasions. Last night I was super tired and forgot to take them off before sleeping. Will sleeping in fake lashes just for one night cause any serious problems for my eyes or natural lashes?

I totally get how stressful it is when you worry about eye infections after a long night. It is completely normal to feel anxious about this. For your peace of mind, please take them off before sleeping so you don't have to worry about red eyes tomorrow.

I used to leave my lashes on sometimes, but they would always get bent out of shape and poke my eyes. It is much better to remove them and store them in their case so you can reuse them later. Your eyes will thank you for the breathing room!

I totally get it, after a long party or wedding, you are just too tired to do a full skincare routine. But sleeping in fake lashes can really damage your natural ones and cause eye irritation. Just a quick swipe of micellar water and peeling them off will save you a lot of trouble.

Just like keeping our blood pressure in check requires clean lifestyle habits, eye hygiene also requires simple discipline. Leaving makeup and lash extensions on overnight can clog glands and cause inflammation. Take care of your body and remove them before sleeping.

Look, don't sleep with glue and synthetic lashes on your eyes, it is highly unhygienic. It takes barely a minute to take them off and wash your face. Avoid inviting unnecessary eye infections.

Beta, these chemical glues are not good for your delicate eyes. Always wash your face with plain water before going to sleep. If your eyes feel dry or itchy, putting a drop of cold rose water can give some relief, but never sleep with these artificial things on.

I wear fake lashes quite often for events. From my personal experience, sleeping in them always ruins both the lashes and my eyes feel extremely gritty the next morning. Removing them is definitely the best option for comfort.

Don't worry, if you fell asleep in them once by mistake, nothing terrible will happen immediately. Just peel them off gently now, wash your eyes with cool, clean water, and avoid wearing makeup today. Keep them clean and you will be absolutely fine.

Honestly, my sister once slept with her fake lashes on and woke up with a swollen eyelid that lasted for three days. She had to visit an eye doc for drops. Better to just peel them off before you hit the bed, don't risk it.

Has anyone else woken up with extremely blurry vision and redness after sleeping in strip lashes? I forgot to remove them last night and now I am feeling very anxious. Please let me know if this is normal or if I should see a doctor.
