Can you sleep in a car with the windows up?

My friends and I are planning a road trip, and we might need to sleep in the car for a night or two. I was wondering if it's safe to sleep with all the windows completely rolled up, especially if it's not too hot outside. Will there be enough fresh air?

Listen, never sleep in a car with the windows fully closed and the AC running, it is extremely risky due to carbon monoxide buildup. If the engine is off, you can roll the windows down slightly for fresh air. Don't take unnecessary chances with your life.

I always advise travelers to never sleep in a sealed car with the engine on. If you must rest, turn off the engine, roll down at least two windows by an inch for ventilation, and lock the doors. It is a simple precaution that keeps you safe.

If you are feeling extremely fatigued and need to stop, please keep the windows cracked for oxygen. Also, if you constantly feel this level of sudden exhaustion, do consult your doctor. It could be due to hormonal imbalances like thyroid issues which require proper blood tests.

Please don't do this, it can be very dangerous due to lack of fresh air. Always keep the windows slightly open.

My doctor friend always warns against sleeping in a stationary car with closed windows and the engine running. Carbon monoxide is an odorless gas that can cause hypoxia very silently. If you feel dizzy or sick after resting in a car, seek medical attention immediately.

Honestly, do not do it if the AC is running while the car is parked. Carbon monoxide leaks can happen and you won't even realize it. If you need a quick nap, just turn off the engine and roll the windows down a bit.
