Can you see lung cancer on x ray?

My neighbour was just diagnosed with lung cancer, and it got me thinking about my own health. I had a routine chest X-ray done last year. If there was anything suspicious, would it have shown up on that X-ray report?

Yes, an x-ray can spot masses or fluid buildup, but it often misses very small tumors. When my father was diagnosed, we had to get a CT scan for a clear, detailed picture.

I panic over every minor cough and worry about this too. Yes, it can show up, but please don't assume the worst if you see a shadow, as it could just be an old infection.

My doctor first noticed a cloudy patch on my routine chest x-ray. It was the starting point that led to my early diagnosis and successful treatment.

Yes, shadows or nodules can show on an x-ray. I hope you find the support and medical guidance you need.

My uncle suggested steam inhalation for cough, but we took him for an x-ray which showed a shadow. We trusted our doctor and did the biopsy immediately.

While drinking warm turmeric milk is good for chest congestion, an x-ray is necessary to see if there is any serious growth inside the lungs. Do not delay seeing a specialist.
