Can you see liver flukes in stool?

I've been having some stomach issues and general weakness for a while now. Someone at work mentioned liver flukes, which sounds quite scary. If I get my stool tested, will they be able to see these flukes if they are there?

Normally, liver flukes are microscopic and you cannot see them with the naked eye. Please get a proper stool test done at a lab for safety instead of trying to self-examine.

No, you won't see the actual worms because they live in the bile ducts and their eggs are tiny. A stool ova and parasite test is what you need to request from your doctor.

Nahi bhaiya, aakhon se nahi dikhta hai. Doctor babu ke paas jaakar gobar ki jaanch (stool test) karani padti hai, wahi batate hain.

When I had a parasite issue, I couldn't see anything in my stool myself. It was only detected when the clinic ran a microscopic analysis on the sample.

I know how unsettling and scary it is to worry about parasites in your body. Usually, they are not visible to us, so please do a lab test to ease your mind.
