Can you see kidney stones on ultrasound?

I'm having terrible flank pain, and the doctor thinks it might be kidney stones, so he suggested an ultrasound. I'm trying to understand how this test works for this condition. Can an ultrasound scan effectively detect and show if there are kidney stones present?

Yes, an ultrasound will show the size and location of the stones clearly. Along with the doctor's medicine, drinking banana stem juice is very helpful for dissolving small stones naturally.

Absolutely, they can. When my teenager had severe side pain, the doctor immediately did an ultrasound and found a 4mm stone. It is a painless and safe scan, so don't worry.

Yes, you can! I had my ultrasound done last month and the radiologist showed me the stone on the screen. It's the easiest way to check without any radiation.

Yes, they can see them. I get regular ultrasounds and kidney function tests done because of my long-term high BP. It is a good, routine way to keep track of your internal health.
