Can you see a kidney infection in urine?

I've been feeling pain in my lower back and have noticed some changes in my urine, like it looks cloudy or darker. I'm worried it might be a kidney infection. Can you actually see signs of a kidney infection just by looking at your urine?

Well, you can't see the infection with bare eyes unless you have microscopic superhero vision! But a lab urine test will definitely catch it through high white blood cells or bacteria. Just hand over the sample to the lab and let them do the detective work.

I am not very sure about this, but I think a basic urine test shows if there is some infection. Does a kidney infection also cause back pain? I have been feeling a bit of pain lately and am slightly worried.

When my daughter had a high fever, the doctor immediately asked for a urine routine and culture test to check for a kidney infection. The test showed high pus cells. Please get a proper lab test done for your peace of mind.

Yes, a urine routine and microscopic exam will show markers like nitrites, protein, and white blood cells which indicate an infection. If it has reached the kidneys, you might also have fever or side pain. Get a urine culture done too, it helps the doctor prescribe the exact antibiotic.

Yes, a urine test is the first step to checking for kidney or bladder infections. Since I manage my thyroid with regular blood tests, I always say don't guess with health issues. Please consult a doctor and get the prescribed tests done.

My doctor made me do a urine test when I had a burning sensation and lower back ache. The report clearly showed an infection. Just get a standard urine test done at any lab, it's cheap and quick.
