Can you reverse underactive thyroid?

I've been taking medication for my underactive thyroid for about two years now. I often wonder if this is something I'll have to take forever. Is it ever possible to reverse an underactive thyroid completely, or is it always a chronic condition?

I tried coriander seed water and yoga for my thyroid, but honestly, it only helped with general digestion, not the actual thyroid levels. You still need the daily small pill to keep your hormones balanced.

Don't fall for online claims of 'curing' thyroid in 30 days. Underactive thyroid usually means your body isn't producing enough hormone, which requires standard medical replacement. Verify everything with a good endocrinologist.

Let us be practical, you cannot fully 'reverse' it if it is a chronic issue, but you can manage it perfectly. Take your medicine first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and get regular blood tests.

Thyroid levels can fluctuate and affect your heart and energy, so please do not stop your medication based on anyone's advice. Always consult your doctor and get a TSH test done every 3-6 months.

Thyroid is like that uninvited relative who refuses to leave. You can't really kick it out, but you can definitely keep it quiet with a tiny daily pill and a decent lifestyle!
