Can you pass eczema to another person?

My little one has eczema, and I'm very careful with her skin, but sometimes I worry about other family members. Can eczema be passed on to another person through touch or close contact, or is it not contagious at all?

No, eczema is absolutely not contagious, so you cannot pass it to anyone. It is just dry skin and inflammation. Just keep a good, cheap moisturizer like vaseline handy to soothe the itching.

I am new to this and recently got these red patches on my arm. My friends were worried if they could get it from hugging me. Does that mean it is completely safe to share clothes and towels too?

My ten-year-old has severe eczema and his school friends used to be scared of touching him. I had to explain to them that it is completely non-contagious. It is just an internal immune response, so please don't let anyone feel isolated because of it.

Eczema is a non-infectious skin condition. You cannot pass it to anyone by physical contact.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! You can't spread eczema to your family or friends, it's just your skin acting up. Just apply a gentle moisturizer and focus on chilling out.

No way! Eczema is not a viral or bacterial infection, so you can hug your loved ones as much as you want. Just focus on keeping your skin happy and hydrated.
