Can you pass a kidney stone without pain?

My doctor mentioned I have a very small kidney stone, and I haven't had much pain. Everyone says kidney stones are excruciating. Is it really possible to pass a kidney stone without any significant pain, or will I surely feel something eventually?

I just passed a 3mm stone yesterday and honestly felt zero pain, only a very slight tickle while urinating. If the stone is smooth and small, it can slip out quite easily. Just keep chugging water.

Over the years, I have had multiple kidney stones. Some caused terrible agony, while others passed silently into the toilet without any discomfort. It completely depends on the size and shape of the stone.

Yes, smaller stones can pass without pain. However, just like managing my thyroid, keeping track of your internal health with regular kidney scans is very important. Always follow up with your doctor to make sure your kidneys are clear.

My sister passed a tiny stone last month and she didn't feel any sharp pain at all, just a bit of pressure. It is totally possible if you drink lots of fluids and keep moving around. Don't stress too much!

When the body is relaxed and well-hydrated, small impurities can pass out smoothly without causing trauma. Deep breathing exercises help keep the pelvic muscles relaxed, which can ease the passage of small stones.
