Can you pass a dot physical with diabetes?

Applying for a new job that requires a medical fitness test, and I have diabetes. I'm worried it might affect my chances. Can someone with diabetes still pass a required physical examination for employment, provided their condition is managed?

Do not go by random forum advice about hiding your sugar levels. The medical examiners run strict urine and blood tests. You must consult your treating doctor to get your HbA1c in the acceptable range first.

Haan na, rule book clear hai, if your sugar is under control then you can pass easily. Bas reports up-to-date rakho aur doctor ka fitness certificate lekar jao. Tension lene se sugar aur badhega.

Yes, you can pass, but you might have to swap those sweet laddoos for cucumbers for a few weeks! Keep your sugar levels in check and the examiner won't have any reason to stop you. It is not a permanent red card.

Honestly, keeping my fasting blood sugar low while surviving on five hours of sleep is a daily battle. But as long as your HbA1c is below the required limit and you have a doctor's note, you can clear it. Just don't drink sweet tea before the test.

I know how stressful it is when your livelihood depends on a medical clearance. I spent nights worrying if my diabetes would disqualify me. But once I got my insulin logs certified by my physician, the process went smoothly.
