Can you live with a fatty liver?

During a recent check-up, my doctor informed me I have a fatty liver. I've been advised to make lifestyle changes, but I'm still a bit confused about the seriousness of it. I want to know if this is something I can manage and still lead a long, healthy life.

I completely understand the panic when you see 'Grade 2 Fatty Liver' on your ultrasound report, as I went through the same anxiety last year. Please relax, it is extremely common and fully reversible with basic lifestyle changes.

I sit at a desk for 9 hours and got diagnosed with fatty liver too. The fix is simple: start walking 30 minutes daily, cut down on weekend beer and sugar, and you'll see your liver enzymes normalize within a few months.

Yes, you can live a completely normal life with a fatty liver, as it is mostly asymptomatic in the early stages. However, to prevent it from progressing to fibrosis, getting a proper diet chart from your doctor is the best course.

You can definitely reverse it by avoiding fried foods, refined flour (maida), and sugary drinks. Focus on fiber-rich food, green leafy vegetables, and whole grains to help detoxify your liver naturally.
