Can you join the navy with asthma?

Joining the Navy has always been my dream. I have mild asthma which is well-controlled. Will this condition prevent me from joining the navy? Do they have waivers for such cases?

My grandfather was in the Navy and he always told us that sea air and enclosed submarine spaces can be very tough on the lungs. For your own safety, the Navy medical board has strict rules against active asthma. Please trust your doctor's advice on this.

While eating a clean diet can help keep your overall inflammation down, it won't change the strict Navy medical rules. If you have a documented history of asthma, they will likely disqualify you because of the high-risk environments at sea.

Haan, navy rules to kafi strict hote hain boss. Closed ships aur high humidity me asthma trigger hone ka bahut darr rehta hai, na. Agar severe history hai to apply karne ka koi fayda nahi hoga.

Haan na, being stuck in a ship with damp sea air can easily trigger wheezing. If you have an attack in the middle of the ocean, medical help can be limited, ho na. That is why they are so careful during selection.

My son has mild asthma and we looked into defense careers for him recently. We found out that any active prescription for inhalers makes it almost impossible to clear the Navy physicals. It is better to guide your child toward safe civilian careers.

Just like how I must monitor my health conditions constantly, asthma requires regular attention. In the navy, you might be deployed in remote areas where managing chronic respiratory issues is difficult. Your health should always come first.

I get tired just climbing two flights of stairs, so I can't imagine surviving navy drills with asthma! If your lungs are weak, sea training will leave you completely exhausted. Better to skip the stress and find a comfortable desk job.

Honestly, I can't even run to the dining table without getting a bit breathless sometimes! But seriously, navy training is intensely rigorous. If you have active asthma, sea life is going to be incredibly tough to cope with.
