Can you join the army with one kidney?

When I was a child, I had an accident and lost one of my kidneys. Now I'm healthy and want to join the army. I'm worried this past medical history will be an issue. Can you join the army with only one kidney?

I was born with only one kidney and always dreamed of wearing the uniform. Has anyone with a similar condition ever tried getting a special waiver, or is the rejection final and absolute? It's really making me anxious.

You can live a highly active life and do regular running or gymming with one healthy kidney, provided your doctor clears you. However, the army has strict medical criteria because any abdominal trauma during combat could damage your only kidney, which is a massive risk.

Haan na, one kidney is perfectly fine for normal daily life, but army life is very rough and tough. If something happens to that single kidney during training, it will be a big problem, ho na. That's why their doctors reject it.

Bro, forget about it. Army physical medicals are super strict, they do full abdominal ultrasounds. If they find a single kidney, they will disqualify you instantly. Better to look at CDS or other options if possible.

Actually yaar, it's about safety. If you get dehydrated in desert postings or injured during exercises, having one kidney puts you at high risk. They can't take that liability on the field, so the rules are very clear.
