Can you have walking pneumonia without a fever?

I've had a persistent cough and feeling very breathless for a while now, along with being extremely tired. My chest X-ray showed something, but I don't have any fever. My doctor mentioned 'walking pneumonia'. Can you actually have walking pneumonia without a fever?

Yes, you absolutely can. Walking pneumonia is famous for being mild, and many people just have a dry, hacking cough without any fever at all. Don't wait for a fever to see a doctor if your cough is persistent.

Yes, you can! It is called 'walking' pneumonia because you feel well enough to walk around, often with no fever at all. Just take good care of yourself, sip some warm soup, and get a doctor to listen to your lungs.

I literally just recovered from this last week! I had zero fever, only a deep rattle in my chest and a dry cough that wouldn't go away. Finally, a chest X-ray confirmed walking pneumonia, so definitely get it checked.

Yes, you can have it without a fever. While you undergo medical treatment, try drinking warm turmeric water or ginger tea to soothe your throat, but avoid cold dairy products as they can sometimes make mucus feel thicker.

Yes, dear, it is quite common to not run a temperature with this mild type of pneumonia. Many adults just mistake it for a stubborn chest cold. Please do steam inhalation twice a day and get a medical consult if the cough lasts over ten days.

I'm really worried because my cough has been going on for two weeks but my temperature is completely normal. Has anyone else here had walking pneumonia diagnosed with absolutely no fever at all?

Definitely possible. I went to the office for two weeks with a constant cough, thinking it was just pollution because there was no fever. Don't waste time like I did—get a doctor to check your chest so you can get back to full health quickly.

Yes, it is possible. Having high BP means I have to be very careful with over-the-counter cold medicines as they can spike my blood pressure. I always get a doctor's checkup for any chest issues instead of self-medicating.

Yes, walking pneumonia can progress quietly without a fever. For your own safety, if you have any shortness of breath, chest discomfort, or a deep cough, please visit a clinic and get your lungs checked by a professional.

Yes, it can happen without a fever. My mother always tells me to drink warm pepper milk for chest congestion, which is very soothing, but we always consult our family doctor first for a proper diagnosis.
