Can you have vomiting with influenza?

I've been feeling really unwell, with a bad headache and body aches, classic flu symptoms. But I also feel a bit nauseous and have thrown up once. I thought flu was mainly about breathing issues. Is it possible to have vomiting with influenza?

Yes, you can definitely have vomiting with influenza, although it is more common in children than adults. Don't worry too much, just focus on taking small sips of warm water and rest. If you can't keep any liquids down, we will need to consult a doctor, alright?

Yes, influenza sometimes likes to add stomach drama to the usual nose-blocking show! It is totally normal to feel nauseous. Just keep a light bowl nearby and don't try to force-feed yourself heavy parathas right now.

Actually, you can have vomiting, yaar. When I had influenza last year, the constant coughing was making me so nauseous that I ended up throwing up quite a bit. It is super annoying but quite common, honestly.

Yes, our bodies go through a deep cleansing process when fighting a virus, and vomiting is sometimes a part of that response. Keep your spirits high, rest completely, and let your body heal naturally with light fluids.

Bro, yes, I had severe nausea and threw up twice when I got hit by the flu last winter. It's not just a cold, it really drains your stomach too. Just stay on light liquids and don't push yourself.

Yes, influenza can cause gastrointestinal symptoms. I tracked my temperature and symptoms on my health app last time, and the nausea subsided after day three. Keep monitoring your fluid intake to make sure you stay hydrated.

While it can happen, persistent vomiting can lead to severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. It is always safer to consult a qualified doctor to get an anti-vomiting medicine prescribed rather than waiting it out.

Yes, my school-going kid always gets vomiting whenever influenza strikes. I give him thin rice gruel with a pinch of salt and avoid dairy entirely until his stomach settles down. Keep a close eye on their hydration.

Yes, vomiting can happen with influenza. Since my thyroid medication schedule gets totally messed up when I can't keep food down, I always call my doctor immediately to manage my doses and get a proper prescription.

Vomiting with the flu is real, and it is the absolute worst when you are already too tired to walk to the bathroom. I barely got three hours of sleep last night because of this. Just keep some ORS handy and hang in there.
