Can you have the flu without running a fever?

I've got a really bad cough and a persistent sore throat, feeling completely drained out, but my temperature is normal. My wife thinks it's just a regular cold, but it feels much worse than that. Can someone have the flu without a fever?

Yes, our bodies express illness in different ways depending on our inner energy and immunity. Keep your mind calm and positive while you recover. Rest well and feed your body simple, nourishing food to help it heal.

Oh absolutely! The flu doesn't always send an RSVP with a 102-degree fever. Sometimes it just silently steals your energy and leaves you feeling like a squeezed lemon. Just wrap yourself in a blanket and binge your favorite show.

Please be careful with this. I thought I just had a mild cold since there was no fever, but it turned into a severe chest infection because I ignored it. If you have a persistent cough or feel breathless, please get a doctor's opinion immediately.

Actually, I am also feeling very weak and sneezing constantly but my temperature is normal. Can it really be the flu then? I was wondering if I should wait for a couple of days before visiting a clinic.

Yes, it is possible to get the flu without a fever. Managing my PCOS has made me realize how unpredictable our immune responses can be. Just focus on resting and drinking plenty of water, and consult a doctor if you feel worse.
