Can you have testicular torsion without pain?

I noticed some swelling and discomfort in my testicle, but there isn't any severe, sudden pain. My friend mentioned testicular torsion is very painful. Can you have testicular torsion without intense pain?

While I manage my thyroid with regular checkups, my brother’s doctor once mentioned that any sudden discomfort or swelling in that area needs immediate attention. Testicular torsion is usually extremely painful, but any unusual changes should be evaluated by a urologist right away to prevent any serious damage.

Bro, testicular torsion is famous for being incredibly painful, like a personal alarm going off down there! It is almost impossible to have it without noticing some serious discomfort. But if you feel any weird swelling or dull ache, don't wait around to see if it turns into a comedy show—go get it checked!

Testicular torsion is almost always accompanied by sudden, severe pain and swelling. It is a medical emergency because the blood supply gets cut off. If you are experiencing even a dull ache or any swelling, please go to the hospital emergency department immediately without waiting.

I panicked so much last year thinking I had torsion because of a mild, weird ache, but it was just a minor muscle strain from my gym workout. Torsion causes extreme, sudden pain that makes it hard to walk. Still, if you are worried, a quick ultrasound at a clinic will give you complete peace of mind.

I just went through this emergency surgery a few months ago and trust me, the pain was absolutely unbearable, I couldn't even stand up. My doctor said it is extremely rare to have it without pain. If you feel any sudden discomfort or swelling there, go to the hospital immediately.
