Can you have stomach flu without vomiting or diarrhea?

I feel very weak and have body aches, like I'm coming down with something, and my stomach feels uneasy. But no vomiting or diarrhoea. Can you still have stomach flu without these main symptoms?

It is possible to have a mild stomach virus where you only experience nausea, intense cramping, or body aches without the actual vomiting or diarrhea. However, these symptoms can also point to other digestive issues. It's always best to get a professional opinion from a doctor if the pain persists.

Oh, totally! Last month I had this horrible stomach bug where my tummy was just constantly bloating and hurting, but I never actually vomited. I just felt super weak and nauseous the whole time. Try taking light khichdi and give your system a break for a day or two.

Actually, I am going through the exact same thing right now! My stomach is churning and I feel so uneasy, but there is no diarrhea or vomiting at all. Did anyone else here also feel extremely tired and restless with this kind of stomach bug? It is making me so anxious.

Yes, sometimes you just get mild cramps and a heavy feeling without the severe symptoms. Please drink warm water and don't exert yourself today. Take care of your health.

Tell me about it, I had this weird stomach bug where I couldn't eat my favourite food because of constant dull cramps, but there was no washroom running at all! My appetite went for a complete toss for three days. Just stick to curd rice and let your stomach heal, don't force heavy meals.

It can actually be so frustrating and physically draining when you feel so sick in your gut but nothing comes out. I felt like crying last week because my stomach was constantly knotted and tight, making me feel so restless. Please don't force yourself to do too much, your discomfort is very real.

Welcome to the club where your stomach decides to play hide and seek! I had this last week—just constant gurgling noises and zero energy, but no dramatic trips to the toilet. At 50, my digestive system loves inventing new ways to keep me guessing, honestly.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Sometimes it just starts with severe gas, heaviness, and mild body pain, nausea toh rehta hi hai. Badme full stomach upset hone ka chance hota hai, so thoda sambhal ke raho aur light khana khao, na?

Yes, you can. Since my thyroid levels fluctuate, my gut motility is already a bit slow, so stomach bugs often just cause intense bloating and nausea instead of diarrhea. If this continues, please see your general physician and maybe get a routine blood test done to be safe.

Yes, you can have a stomach bug with just dull pain and nausea. Since I have to manage my blood sugar, I am always very careful with what I eat during these times. Don't go for heavy sugary juices or packets of ORS unless you really need it; simple unsweetened buttermilk or warm water is much safer.
