Can you have psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis?

I've had psoriasis since my early twenties, and recently my joints have started aching a lot. My doctor is checking for rheumatoid arthritis. I was wondering if it's possible to have both these autoimmune conditions together.

Actually, it is very much possible to have both, yaar. My uncle has severe skin scaling and also terrible joint pain in his fingers, which the doctor diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis alongside his psoriasis. It is a double whammy but proper medications help keep it under control.

Yes, brother, these two diseases can happen together and they make the body very weak. My cousin has red patches on his skin and his knees swell up very badly during winters. Please go to a big hospital and show a good doctor, they will give you the right treatment.

Having thyroid issues has taught me that autoimmune conditions love to travel in pairs. If you already have psoriasis, your risk of developing joint issues like rheumatoid arthritis is higher. Please get regular inflammatory marker tests done and keep in touch with a good rheumatologist.

Yes, you can have both, and it is crucial to distinguish this from psoriatic arthritis. Definitely see a rheumatologist to get the correct joint fluid tests.

I was actually researching this online because my friend has skin patches and now complains of joint stiffness every morning. It is fascinating yet scary how the immune system can attack both skin and joints together. I hope you get a clear diagnosis from a doctor soon.
