Can you have pcos without insulin resistance?

My doctor explained that PCOS is often linked to insulin resistance, but my recent glucose and insulin tests came back completely normal. Is it possible to have PCOS and all its symptoms without also having insulin resistance?

I completely understand how overwhelming it is to read all these complex medical terms and worry about your health. It is very stressful when you are trying to figure out what's wrong with your body. Yes, you can have PCOS without insulin resistance, so please try to take a deep breath and don't panic.

Between my late-night work calls and reading about PCOS types, I have barely slept. But honestly, yes, some people have 'adrenal PCOS' or other types where insulin levels are completely normal. My body is tired, but at least we know health isn't always one-size-fits-all!

When I went to Medanta for my checkup, the specialist explained that insulin resistance is common but not present in every single PCOS case. I suggest you ask your doctor clearly to run a fasting insulin and OGTT test to be absolutely sure. Getting clear answers from a specialist is always the best route.

I totally panicked when my glucose tests came back completely normal because I thought my PCOS diagnosis was wrong. But my doctor reassured me that nearly 20 to 30 percent of women with PCOS don't have insulin resistance. It is completely normal and much easier to manage, so don't worry!

Hey babe, don't stress too much about this! You can totally have PCOS even if your insulin levels are perfectly fine. It's a super diverse condition and everyone's body is a bit different, so don't worry yourself. Just talk to your gynac and they will help you figure out your exact type.

Look, stop overthinking every medical term you search online. Yes, it is very much possible to have PCOS without insulin issues. Just go to a proper clinic, get your blood tests done, and follow the treatment plan they give you instead of self-diagnosing.

Even if you don't have insulin resistance, keeping up with a good fitness routine is great for your overall endocrine health. If your doctor allows, try to include 30 minutes of brisk walking or light strength training daily. Regular physical activity naturally keeps all your hormones in a better balance.

Haha, yes, our bodies like to keep us guessing by showing only half the symptoms from the textbook! You can absolutely have PCOS without the insulin drama. Just enjoy your normal sugar levels and let the doctor handle the rest of the puzzle.
