Can you have pancreatitis without pain?

During a routine health check-up, my lipase levels came back a bit high, which my doctor said can indicate pancreatitis. But honestly, I don't feel any pain or discomfort whatsoever. Can someone have pancreatitis without experiencing any symptoms like pain?

Yes, painless pancreatitis can occur, though it is rare. It is often linked to chronic cases where the pancreas is already damaged, so maintaining a low-fat, clean vegetarian diet is very important.

Yes, chronic issues sometimes don't trigger acute pain. Along with proper medical diagnostics, practicing gentle abdomen-relaxing yoga and maintaining a light diet can support your overall digestive health.

Actually yes, my uncle had this and he didn't feel much pain, just constant nausea and sudden weight loss. They call it silent or painless pancreatitis, so definitely get a blood test if you suspect something.

Yes, it can happen without typical pain. Just like I manage my thyroid with regular blood tests, it is best to do routine abdominal scans and follow up with your doctor if you have unexplained digestive changes.

Yes, it is possible! Sometimes people just feel very bloated or have digestion issues instead of sharp pain. It is always a good idea to get it checked out by a doctor just to be sure! 🌸
