Can you have pancreatitis without fever?

Severe upper abdominal pain that radiates to my back is what I've been experiencing, and I'm really worried. However, I haven't had any fever at all. Is it possible to have pancreatitis, which I hear is serious, without a fever being present?

Yeah, absolutely. When I got diagnosed, I just had this crazy sharp pain in my upper stomach that went to my back, but my temperature was totally normal. Don't wait for a fever to get it checked.

My gastroenterologist explained that fever usually develops later if there is an infection or necrosis. Early-stage or mild acute pancreatitis often presents with only severe abdominal pain and nausea, without any fever.

Yes, you can. While sipping warm water or coconut water can calm the stomach, pancreatitis is very serious. If you have severe, constant pain that radiates to your back, please go to the hospital immediately.

Yes, it is possible. Please don't try to treat this at home with herbal juices or online advice, as pancreatitis is a serious condition that requires proper hospital monitoring and scans.

Oh God, stomach pain is so scary! Yes, you can definitely have it without a fever, which makes it even trickier to spot. Please don't stress, but do visit a doctor just to be completely safe.
