Can you have norovirus without vomiting?

Some food I ate from a new restaurant yesterday has given me severe stomach pain and loose motions. Everyone says norovirus means a lot of vomiting, but I haven't thrown up at all. Can you get norovirus without any vomiting?

Yes, you can. Many adults only experience watery diarrhea and mild body aches without actually throwing up. Make sure to drink ORS or coconut water to keep your hydration levels up.

Totally! I had this crazy stomach bug last month and was waiting to throw up, but it was just terrible diarrhea and cramps for two days. Still felt awful though.

I am also dealing with just extreme nausea and watery motions but no vomiting. Is anyone else experiencing this right now? It is making me so worried that it might be something else.

Yes, you can have it without vomiting. No need to buy expensive fancy drinks, just boil water at home, let it cool, mix in some salt and sugar, and keep drinking it throughout the day.
